An item of solid metal, wicker, fiber or the like, having small openings, such as perforations or openings as in the wicker, to provide venilation. A container of different shape configurations having a bail, and may or may not have a lid. Capacity is usually rated in quarts or liters, and ranges from 1 to 20 quarts or 5 to 75 liters. It is designed to accommodate dry, liquid, or semiliquid materials.

A metallic or plastic item generally cylindrical, the top diameter is greater than the bottom diameter, it is normally reinforced and if metallic has a surface treatment it may have handles and is free standing with removable cover. DISPENSER KIT,WEDGING MATERIALS

An item which consists of a mobile silo, an adjustable bracket with a flexible tubing and an unloading handle. It is used to deliver wedging materials during packing operations before shipping. The wedging materials consist of blown out polystyrene particles in the shape of very supple "8", acting as thousands of yielding absorbers. As self-locking materials thy jam each other, coat the item being protected and keep it in position and safe from shocks and vibrations.

A piece of material used as a protector under an individual diner's service, either on a bare table surface or on a cloth covering it.

PAD,TABLE

A pad of flexible material used under a tablecloth or table cover to provide additional protection to the table surface and as insulation against sound.

DOILY,TEXTILE

A small, ornamental piece of woven fabric on which tableware, vases and similar objects are placed. In addition to their ornamental or decorative function, doilies protect the surface on which they are used against the abrasive action of the objects under which they are placed.

An article of bedding which is air inflatable and when deflated can be rolled into a compact unit.It is usually made of rubber or rubberized cloth.

An article of bedding constructed of various kinds of padding materials, covered with a ticking, and tufted or otherwise fastened to retain the materials. It may or may not have inner springs.

BEDSPRING

A component of a bed, usually rectangular in shape, consisting of a number of springs supported by various types of frames. It is used to support the mattress. Includes boxsprings.

PILLOWCASE

A removable covering for a pillow. It is made of linen cloth, cotton cloth, paper, or the like. Excludes COVER, PILLOW.

A pad, usually quilted, for use on beds for the protection of mattresses.

A removable, fitted cloth cover for chairs, sofas, and the like.

FRAME,INSECT BAR

A structure, consisting of four upright members and two crosspieces, which is used to support an INSECT NET PROTECTOR over a canvas folding cot.

MAT,BATHTUB AND SHOWER

A preformed item designed for use in a bathtub or shower as a safety measure to prevent the user from slipping or falling. It will not stain, injure or mar the bathtub or shower floor. Excludes MAT, BATH and MAT, FLOOR.

A small tubular item having a perforated face or fine screen in the outer end. It is inserted at specified intervals along the sides and ends of an innerspring mattress to provide for free passage of air into the spring section of the mattress.

An item made of cloth used to wrap around the body or as a laprobe for the protection of passengers of a small boat or launch against water spray. It may bear stripes to designate the rank of the person or an emblem, such as for the President of the United States, Secretary of the Navy, and the like.

INSECT NET PROTECTOR KIT

An item generally used for sleeping outdoors. It is made of various materi als such as open cell foam, cloth, and the like. It may be inflatable (including self inflatable). It may be fitted with hook/loop tabs and straps to roll it into a small and compact unit. It has a thermal insulation capacity and may be protected or treated against water, humidity, stains, fungus and bacteria. Excludes MATTERESS, PNEUMATIC.

BLANKET,SURVIVAL

An item, usually oblong, designed to protect the user against weather conditions (cold and/or warm, and the like). It may also provide protection to a wounded or injured person.

A soft, elastic piece of material, usually jute, hair or wool felt, or cotton filling between heavy paper, laid between a carpet and the floor. Its function is to reduce wear on the carpet and to eliminate or lessen the sound of footsteps and other noises caused by the impact of moving objects.

A surface covering consisting of oxidized linseed oil, fossil, or other resins and/or rosin, or an equivalent thoroughly oxidized oleo-resinous binder intimately mixed with ground cork, wood flour and pigments and pressed on a burlap or woven cotton backing. A nonmetallic, tough, treated fabric, surface which may be coated on one side with extremrely hard mineral grains for nonslip protection. The opposite side may be treated with adhesive for application. Excludes TREAD, METALLIC, NONSKID and WALKWAY COMPOUND, NONSLIP.

VENETIAN BLIND

A blind capable of being raised or lowered and having numerous thin slats placed horizontally one above another, which can be set simultaneously at any desired angle. It is used to regulate the light passing through a window or opening and to obstruct the view from within or without.

AWNING

A rigid or collapsible roof-like cover, generally attached to a wall and extended over or before a window or entrance. Used as a protection from the sun and other weather related elements.

TAPE,LADDER,VENETIAN BLIND

An item consisting of two side straps connected with cross straps for suspending slats.

ROLLER,ROLLER SHADE

A cylindrical item of metal or wood designed for attaching to a SHADE, ROLLER. It has a spring-loaded ratchet and pin at one end and a plain pin at the opposite end. It may be furnished with hanging brackets and screws.

HOOK,DRAPERY

A metallic item designed to suspend a curtain and the like from a rod. It must have an open loop at one end to link with the rod and a pin or eye(s) at the other end for attachment by pinning or sewing to the curtain like material.

ROD,CURTAIN

A straight or curved bar designed to support window draperies or hangings. The ends may be turned at right angles to the length of the bar to provide necessary clearance from a window or door frame when mounted. It may be a traverse rod with carriers that hold pins or hooks for draperies and slide open or closed when a cord is pulled. The rod may be designed to be stationary with curtains mounted by means of hooks, fabric loops, or the like. It maybe magnetic or held in place by spring tension. The length of the rod may be be adjustable and it may be a single, double, or triple bar. The rod may be designed to mount on either wall or ceiling, and may include mounting hardware.

SLAT,ROLLER SHADE

A thin strip, made of various materials used in the free end of a window shade.

HOOK,SHOWER CURTAIN

An item that suspends a covering and allows free sliding horizontal movement across a rod when installed. It can be opened or closed by a fastening device that is an intergral part of its design.

TIEBACK,CURTAIN

A strap, belt or the like designed to hold a curtain off to the side or in a position other than hanging straight down. It may be of the same material as the curtain or any other suitable material.
